Our client is a leading provider of automation solutions and systems integration in the UK, recognised across various industries including automotive, metals, FMCG, and more.
They're currently looking a Service Engineer to play a crucial role in carrying out prompt, efficient, and thorough on-site service, and commissioning of complete Electrical Control Systems. This includes PLCs, AC/DC drives, general control gear, and SCADA systems. Whether in the UK or overseas, you'll ensure safety and efficiency while contributing to the ongoing success of automation technology worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide reactive support for customer automation control applications, including PLC, VSDs, robots, networks, and SCADA systems.
• 24/7 reactive callout support as per roster.
• Conduct workshop testing of engineered automation control systems.
• Investigate and repair components such as PLCs, VSDs, robots, networks, and SCADA systems.
• Read electrical schematic diagrams and PLC software listings.
• Maintain accurate site logs and timesheets.
• Mark up project schematics and documentation accurately.
• Assist in developing and delivering customised training courses for customers.
• Support and train colleagues as needed.
• Assist other engineers with on-site commissioning and service of engineered automation control systems.
• Provide technical support, conduct site audits, and assist in preparing quotations for sales.
• Contribute to the development of the service department to enhance its capabilities and competitiveness.
• Adhere to company Quality and Health and Safety procedures, along with other company policies.
• Perform other engineering duties within your capabilities as required.

Essential Requirements
• Minimum level qualification HNC / HND in electrical / electronic engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with variable speed drives, specifically for Siemens, ABB, Danfoss, Rockwell, CT, and servo drives.
• Proficiency in PLCs, including Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Omron products and software.
• Full UK driving licence.
