Our client, a specialist engineering business, is looking for a service engineer as part of their ongoing growth. They are looking for someone who can be mobile in an area covering Birmingham to London and Oxford to Cambridge primarily, with a fully equipped van provided. Any outlying appointments which could require an overnight stay will be fully expensed.
The role will involve planned and reactive servicing, maintenance and calibration of their specialist detection equipment. This could be for legislative purposes, as part of a maintenance contract or to provide a fix if there have been any faults detected. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate all or most of the following: -
- Minimum HNC (or equivalent) in Electronics or another technical subject with an electrical / electronic bias
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Full UK driving licence
- Asbestos awareness, CSCS card holder, etc
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- A good level of computer literacy
