Service Engineer - Bodmin

My client is an established supplier of Plant Machinery across the UK and are looking to recruit a capable Service Engineer. It is expected that the successful candidate will come from a field service background, have strong experience in both the Mechanical and Electrical elements of heavy plant or agricultural machinery. You must also have a UK Driving Licence.

Service Engineer Position Overview

• Service and maintain a range of plant machinery
• Fault finding, diagnosis and repair on engines, hydraulics, transmissions and electrics
• Working at the depot and customer sites in the local area
• Ordering parts
• Meeting and speaking with customers and providing solutions to their requirements
• Using electronic devices to accurately report faults
• Paying attention to detail
• Receiving product training. Progression opportunities also available

Service Engineer Position Requirements

• Ideally NVQ Level 3 Engineering, but level 2 also considered
• Experience maintaining plant or agricultural machinery is a must, including diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions and electrics
• Ability to write up engineering reports on machinery faults
• Must have your own tools but some specialist tools provided
• Happy to travel within an hour of the depot
• Full UK Driving licence
• Based within commutable distance of Bodmin

Service Engineer Position Remuneration

• Salary £15.00 - £18.00 per hour
• Overtime paid at 1.5x, over 4 hours is paid at 2x
• Company vehicle provided
• Hours Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00 with some weekend work required
• 23 days holidays plus bank holidays
• Christmas Shutdown
