A nationwide property management company is searching for a Senior Service Charge Accountant based in Tunbridge Wells.

Role Purpose:
Support the business in overseeing the rent and service charge accounting for its extensive residential and commercial property portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of rent and service charge accounts to strict deadlines.
  • Manage rent and service charge requirements.
  • Production of residential and commercial service charge and Year End accounts.
  • Production and Assistance to Property Managers in the preparation of service charge budgets.
  • Liaising with the property managers/clients/leaseholders regarding any accounting queries.
  • Assisting stakeholders in the understanding of the service charge accounts and processes where necessary.
  • Support in banking/cashiering.
  • Streamline and review current processes to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Take on ad-hoc duties as requested by the finance team and business.
  • General Day to day administration in support of the team.
  • Provide support during annual audits.
  • To undertake other reasonable responsibilities and projects as instructed by the line manager.

Skills:

  • Prior knowledge of the property sector and service charge accounting essential.
  • Sage 50 experience and QUBE preferable.
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • Ability to build relationships across the business working closely with other departments.
  • Motivated self-starter who shows initiative.
  • Self -motivated, proactive with the ability to use your own initiative.
  • Overall sound general Finance knowledge
  • Good Time Management.
