Service Charge Accountant - Residential Block.OUR CLIENT is an established and recognised block property manager who have instructed us to recruit a Service Charge Accountant as an addition to their Property Accounting team.

THE ROLE of the Service Charge Accountant will include below listed, but not limited duties:

  • Preparing monthly and quarterly client reporting: Client statements, cash flow, income and expenditure, and budget vs actual with relevant commentary for Director's approval prior to sending to the client.
  • Preparing full Year-end service charge reconciliation: Income and expenditure -balance sheet - Extended trial balances - with relevant workings for Property Manager approval prior to sending to client and audit review.
  • Handling client and audit queries.
  • Handling existing and providing ETB reconciliation.
  • Issuing S20b where accounts cannot be met within six months after the year-end.
  • Handling lessees, clients and resident association members' queries.
  • Assisting Property Manager in preparing yearly service charge budgets.
  • Raising charges: year-end balancing charges / credits, on account service charge, and tenant recharge.
  • Assisting with monthly bank reconciliations.

THE PERSON: To apply for this role as a Service Charge Accountant you will:

  • Have previous experience in residential block year-end service charge accounting.
  • ETB experience will be a value add.
  • QUBE/YARDI OR TRAMPS systems knowledge.
  • Happy to work in the office 5 days a week.
