Providing the total package from design, manufacture, installation, and final commissioning of specialised material handling systems, including hoists, cranes, runway and lifting beams.

Position Overview:

The position of a Service/ Breakdown Engineer is a vital role within the company. Within this role you are ensuring the safety and functionality of products and equipment for clients. The role is diverse in the duties which you may undertake day-to-day, offering varied work, from servicing or conducting maintenance work on cranes, material handling systems, hoists and lifting beams.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections, servicing, and maintenance tasks on various types of cranes and ancillary equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Respond promptly to service calls and breakdown situations, diagnose the root cause of the problem, and implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.
• Utilise technical expertise to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
• Replace defective or worn-out components such as cables, bearings, gears, brakes, hydraulic hoses, and electrical wiring to restore equipment functionality.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand their requirements, address concerns, and provide technical assistance and advice on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with other service engineers, technicians, and support staff to optimise workflow, share best practices, and achieve team goals.

Salary:

• £35,000 - £45,000 (Dependant on experience and qualifications).

Working Hours:

• Monday - Friday (7.30am - 4.00pm)
• 40 hours per week.
• Overtime available.
