We are recruiting for a Service Asset & Configuration Management (SACM) Lead with specific knowledge of Discovery to help plan, deliver, and maintain the continual evolvement of our internal CMDB and associated processes. Key to delivering this will be the implementation of a newly defined Configuration Management Plan (CMP), for which the SACM Lead will have a pivotal role in its establishment and ongoing success.

What you’ll be doing as a Service Asset & Configuration Management (SACM) Lead
With proven experience of working within a CMDB / Discovery environment, this role will focus on Discovery aspects with a remit of identifying, planning, and establishing methods of discovering data and managing relationships within the CMDB. Ensure that the quality of the data within the CMDB is accurate, validated, and maintained throughout its lifecycle.

Working within a team and alongside the SACM Manager, the SACM Lead will have oversight of the implementation of appropriate governance frameworks and controls, ensuring all stakeholders adhere to the SACM processes and achieve ongoing quality of data within the CMDB. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to identify and agree Service Mapping of business services, and ensure related items are correctly mapped within the CMDB.

Base Location: Clearwater Court, Reading - Hybrid
Working Pattern or hours: Full Time (36 hours a week)

 You will also be able to demonstrate:
  • Experience of implementing a Configuration Management Plan (CMP).
  • Experience of delivering and evolving an efficient SACM function.
  • Excellent understanding of SACM and CMDB Management.
  • Experience of Cloud technologies including the lifecycle within a CMDB.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, specifically CMDB, CSDM and Discovery.
  • Knowledge of integration and architecture concepts.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ideally ITIL certified.
  • Experience in working with 3rd party delivery partners.
  • Stakeholder Management.
  • An understanding of current industry trends and technologies.
