SEO Manager - £45k - £55k + Performance Bonus -Stockton-on-Tees

Our client is one of the UK’s leading financial advice companies with over a decade of award-winning advice plus a platinum 5-star Feefo customer experience rating. They are a customer-focused, wealth management, equity release, mortgage advice, and home finance financial services company which aims to provide expert advice to people of all ages.

Their target for the coming months is to bring the SEO in-house and onboard an SEO Manager to further the growth of the digital marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an SEO expert who wants to be at the forefront of the strategy and develop a successful long-term career with an established company that wants its staff to grow and receive the rewards as the company grows year on year.

Responsibilities.

  • Perform comprehensive keyword research and SEO analysis to determine relevant target keywords and phrases.
  • Possess the expertise to develop detailed content briefs and produce captivating content tailored to our target audience.
  • Implement and manage both on-page and off-page SEO strategies to enhance website visibility and search engine ranking positions (SERPs).
  • Optimise website content, including meta tags, headers, and URLs, to align with target keywords and improve search engine crawlability. This includes proficiency in link disavowing, and conducting technical SEO and competitor audits.
  • Identify and resolve technical SEO issues in collaboration with the web development team to boost website performance and user experience.
  • Carry out SEO audits, competitive analysis, and benchmarking to uncover areas for improvement and maintain a competitive edge in search rankings.

Requirements.

  • Minimum of three years of experience as an SEO Manager or in a comparable role focused on SEO within a commercial setting.
  • Proven background in financial services or industries where compliance is a priority.
  • Demonstrated ability to set clear objectives and achieve them.
  • Proficient in using SEO and analytics tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, Google Keyword Planner, and Google Analytics.
  • Knowledgeable in A/B testing, local SEO, and SEO reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of web design and development, HTML/CSS coding, and link-building strategies.
  • Experienced with content management systems (CMS) and website optimization platforms, such as WordPress.
