Our Client is an established Investment Management business based in both London and Cambridge. This business provide high quality services of wealth management to their clients. Our client is looking to hire a Senior Wealth Planner to join the team. The nature of the role as Senior Wealth Planner is to acquire new clients whilst maintaining and developing existing relationships with profitable clients and key introducers.

This role offers hybrid working with requirement of 1 day working from the London office and 1 day working from the Cambridge office.

Job Summary of Senior Wealth Planner:

  • Take over and maintain the existing book of clients with a value of £60m-£70m for a retiring wealth planner.
  • Utilise existing clients, contacts and professional introducers to further develop the client base and increase revenue.
  • Deliver financial planning and service to clients to a professional standard.
  • Monitor the financial services market (particularly professional practice).
  • Delegate as appropriate and communicate clearly with the team.
  • Undertake client review process with agreed frequency of contact.
  • Support and assist in implementing marketing initiatives with Partners and Marketing Manager.
  • Management of client database.
  • Liaison with providers.
  • TCF Monitoring and management.
  • Undertake appropriate professional development and training.
  • Operate within the compliance and professional standards of the business.
Skills & Experience of Senior Wealth Planner:
  • Previous wealth planning private client services experience.
  • Interpersonal skills to develop and maintain client trust and inspire confidence.
  • Articulate - able to communicate effectively and professionally in verbal and written form.
  • Solutions orientated and imaginative in creating these solutions.
  • Commercial mindset.
  • Motivated, ambitious and hard-working.
  • Comprehensive understanding of key areas of financial planning and generic solutions.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial planning.
  • Accuracy, numeracy, attention to detail.
  • Clear and concise communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Ability to meet deadlines / work within restricted timescales.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word / Excel / PowerPoint) and Outlook
  • Minimum professional qualification - Chartered Financial Planner Qualification or Equivalent or working towards this.
