We’re working with an in-house agency for a global brand who specialize in design, engineering, and project management. A creative team of real-time and web developers, designers, and animators, they work with clients across highways, railway and energy sectors (to name a few) and are responsible for some of the world’s most exciting and highly innovative engineering solutions that have a positive impact on the world.

As they grow and their pipeline continues to build, they’re looking for a Senior Unreal Developer to join their team. This is a hybrid role that will require you to be office based two days a week as the business sees the value in bringing the team together to aid creativity, collaboration, sharing of ideas and growth.

They have offices in Bristol, Birmingham, and Glasgow so you can base yourself out of whichever location is most convenient to you.

What you’ll be doing


This is an exciting opportunity for someone with demonstrable experience working within Unreal Engine, to work alongside a cross functional team of specialists and contribute to the delivery of varied and greenfield projects.

You’ll help to scope, design, and implement code that is fit for purpose and scalable, creating C++ code that can be supported by blueprint development. You’ll contribute your ideas, creativity, and problem-solving approach to deliver digital solutions of the highest standard.

What skills you’ll need to apply

  • Solid experience programming in C++ and blueprints knowledge within Unreal.
  • Excellent knowledge of Git and Git processes.
  • Understanding of profiling, optimisation, and performance enhancement techniques.
  • Experience in implementing UI and following designs.
  • Expertise with debugging a wide range of graphical issues.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Team oriented with a collaborative approach to work.
Any experience with the following will be advantageous but certainly not essential:
  • VR/AR frameworks and their implementation into Unreal Engine/Unity.
  • AEC industry or Serious Games.
  • APIs associated with AEC industry.
  • Databases, RESTful requests and connecting to other software within Engine.
  • C# and Unity development.
  • JavaScript, Vue.js, CSS and Web Development.
