Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a thriving planning consultancy in Sheffield on the hire of a Senior Town Planner.

Our client is looking for a Chartered Town Planner to join the existing team of planning experts that work with property professionals and individuals across the UK. Join this team and provide comprehensive planning services to a range of clients on projects that fall into multiple sectors such as housing, employment, commercial, healthcare, creative industries, and strategic land.

In this role, you will assist in providing the following services to your client base - appraisals, pre-application enquiries, applications, appeals, public consultation, expert witness, land promotion, permitted development, representations and objections as well neighbourhood plans.

Essential requirements to apply:

  • MRTPI (or very close to gaining MRTPI status)
  • Appropriate experience in a Town Planning role at Planner / Senior Planner level
  • Private Consultancy experience desirable
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively
  • Team work/player ethic
