A company operating in the HVAC industry is seeking a Senior Test Technician to join the team located in the Wappenham area. This company has grown exponentially within the last few decades and now operates globally, across multiple countries and has built a range of strong subsidiary brands, all delivering exceptional products including cooling towers, boilers (both commercial and residential), inspection equipment and other technologies.

They now require a dedicated and knowledgeable Senior Test Technician to join the team, who can support the day to day operations of the team and ensure that the products and components are thoroughly tested and manufactured in accordance with company procedures and industry standards. This will be a hands-on and valuable role within the team, with excellent expansion routes predicted in the future.

Role & Responsibilities
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Ensuring the alignment and the testing of products and systems, demonstrating an understanding of the products to a component level
  • Taking ownership of the product from the testing and inspection stage, all the way through to the delivery and dispatch
  • Reporting and communicating issues and problems clearly and in a timely manner, alongside possible solutions to the correct supervisor
  • Supporting the training of junior team members, allowing them to follow correct test procedures
  • Adhering to business processes and providing insight into areas that need improvement
  • Handling the testing of prototypes and customised variants for current products, in accordance to the Quality Management System
  • Following the most relevant and up to date test documents when testing standard products
  • Supporting the generation of test procedures and assisting with range testing from time to time
  • Providing ad-hoc support to other stages of manufacturing when needed to meet deadlines
  • Ensuring all products are built and tested in accordance with the documentation and are compliant with DAOS procedures and ISO9001

What You Will Need To Apply:
The company is eager to here from experienced Test Technicians, with a few years of experience within a comparable role. Ideally, a qualification (HNC or higher) would be possessed but this isn't mandatory. Good communication skills are also sought, with applicants being confident and clear in their ability to liaise with various people. Strong technical knowledge is also essential for this role, and any exposure to the HVAC industry will strongly support an application.


What You Will Get In Return:
For the successful candidate, a starting salary in the region of £35,000 will be available, depending on experience and this will accompany a good benefits package, including competitive holiday and pension contributions, performance based bonus potentials and other monetary incentives.
