Senior Technical Architecture Analyst

Full time, Permanent, HQ Newark-on-Trent (Remote opportunity to be considered)

Our global client, based in Newark, Nottinghamshire are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Architecture Analyst. You will play an integral role in the protection, maintenance, and support of specified ICT systems.

THE ROLE

The Senior Technical Architecture Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Providing 2nd and 3rd tier support and acting as a point of technical escalation
  • Leading technical architecture projects (including changes to the live environment)
  • Reducing the complexity and footprint of the Company ICT services
  • Supporting (and leading) a number of concurrent Technical projects and Application projects

A Senior Technical Architecture Analyst candidate, will have knowledge of the following systems and environments:

  • IBM zSeries - z14-LR1, zVM running SLES, Dirmaint
  • SUSE Linux - v11, v12, v15
  • IBM WebSphere Application Service - 7.x, 9.x

It would be beneficial to have knowledge also of TSM / Spectrum Protect Backup and VE - 7.x, 8.x and experience in Disaster recovery, IBM SAN Management.

THE CANDIDATE

An ideal Senior Technical Architecture Analyst candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Ideally hold a degree in a relevant subject, or possess strong relevant technical experience
  • Prince II Foundation (desirable)
  • ITIL Foundation (desirable)
  • Experience of Technical delivery / support within a complex environment
  • Ability manage multiple priorities with frequent changes
  • Ability to deliver complex information to a wide group (at senior level)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, tenacity, persuasion, negotiation, analytical and numerate
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Excellent time management skills

You will have 10+ years experience within an ICT environment and possess evidence of continuous professional development. You will have knowledge and experience of working within matrix teams, ensuring all views are understood and represented.

This role will be split between the head office in Newark, Nottinghamshire and London so you must be prepared to travel between the two sites
