Senior Tax Manager

Your new firm
Your new firm is a Big Four accountancy firms in the UK as well as globally, being considered one of Fortune's 'Best Companies to Work For' for the 18th year. Due to significant growth in the energy sector, they are now searching for an experienced Corporate Tax Senior Manager to join their Manchester team and contribute to the move towards energy transition.

Your new role
You will be joining an inclusive and supportive team in Manchester, working collaboratively to develop client relationships. You will be responsible for the delivery of tax advisory services to energy clients and green energy funds whilst managing a portfolio of energy clients, regularly keeping up to date on sector developments and assessing the impact of these on the team. You will be expected to mentor junior staff to help their professional development. You will also be responsible for managing all aspects of financial accounting and reporting whilst delivering acquisition or disposal transactions.

What you'll need to succeed
For you to be successful within this role, you need to be ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified as well as a practice-trained finance professional. Although prior experience of the sector isn't necessary, ideally you will have experience of communicating confidently with larger corporate clients using your strong interpersonal skills, allowing you to build and maintain a professional relationship. You're organised and motivated with effective time management skills that allow you to meet deadlines. You've got strong skills in accounting and a business development background consisting of tax structuring or tax experience.
