We are excited to collaborate with a FTSE 250 business in their search for a dynamic Senior Supply Chain Manager. This pivotal role, reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, will spearhead the management of large-scale contracts and procurement activities within the construction and facilities projects domain. For the right candidate, this role offers:

Salary of £60,000 - £65,000 + car allowance of £5900 or company car + travel and overnight stays funded + Hybrid working (1-2 days in the office) + generous holiday allowance, 6% pension match + career advance opportunities (Must be open to traveling to other company sites)

  • Lead a dedicated team of two professionals, overseeing procurement and supply chain support for multiple contracts.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to nurture a culture of excellence and high performance.
  • Take charge of significant supply chain projects to enhance the support and value delivered by the business unit.
  • Engage with stakeholders early on to assess specifications and devise robust and innovative procurement strategies.
  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify suitable supply chain partners.
  • Collaborate closely with Operational teams and subject matter experts to develop detailed requirements and proposed solutions for effective RFP/RFQ processes.
  • Evaluate existing supply chain arrangements, benchmarking against industry standards to drive continuous improvement.
  • Establish enduring contractual agreements with strategic suppliers to ensure business stability and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and implement robust supply chain strategies to ensure seamless operational delivery.
  • Contribute to governance reviews and effectively communicate supply chain aspects of proposed solutions.
  • Analyse current supply chain provisions and implement changes aligned with industry best practices to drive value.
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, particularly operational teams.
  • Implement a comprehensive risk management approach in alignment with the BU risk register.
  • Influence senior staff to adopt strategic procurement initiatives for long-term success.
  • Drive sustainable value creation by enhancing quality, service, and capability while optimising costs and lead times.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement processes and policies.
  • Travel to operational sites and attend UK-wide team meetings as required.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of proven procurement and supply chain expertise.
  • Proficiency in sourcing through contract placement.
  • Prior experience handling contracts within a large corporate setting.
  • Exposure to construction, facilities, or heavy industry sectors is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management proficiency.
