Senior Software Test Engineer – Linux / Python
  
We are recruiting for a Senior Software Test Engineer who is bored of dull monotonous software test for the same old product over and over again. You will be looking for a challenge, variety and be excited about the idea of having to develop brand new test solutions for an array of brand new & pioneering electronic products used in sectors such as Security and Defence, Consumer Electronics and Medical Devices.  You will need to be highly skilled at developing bespoke test systems using scripting languages such as Python and have an excellent knowledge and experience working with embedded Linux systems.

Requirements for the Senior Software Test Engineer role:
  • 2.1 or above degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or closely related subject
  • Recent and relevant experience of software testing, including building test plans, documents and systems of an embedded Linux product
  • Excellent scripting skills (preferably Python)
  • Good understanding of networking hardware and security i.e. protocol stacks, TCP/IP, UDP, firewalls, switches, DHCP, etc.
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • A desire to push for continuous improvement and deliver quality software.
  
  
Salary: £40k - £60k (depending on experience) + Excellent benefits and bonus
