About The Job

Salary: £41,418 to £44,428 per annum
Working Pattern: Full-time (37 hours per week)
Contract Length: Permanent

Join us as a Senior Social Worker in our Responsive Neurological Services!

This is an NHS multidisciplinary team (MDT) which includes Neuropsychology, Occupational Therapy, Physio, Speech and Language Therapy (SALT), Dietician and with links to Specialist Nurses for neurological conditions such as Multiple sclerosis (MS) and Parkinson's.

As well as being part of the NHS MDT you will be supported by being part of the WSCC Primary Care Networks Team which is experienced in MDT working and highly supportive with regular opportunities for peer reflection and to support your wellbeing in order to maintain your emotional resilience.

As a Senior Social Worker, you will:

  • Be an experienced and confident professional and able to work collaboratively with the MDT colleagues using a strengths based approach.
  • Have experience of working with people with complex neurological conditions including mental capacity issues and/or having transferrable experience and being driven to learn and develop expertise in this area is essential.
  • Be able to represent the social work profession and West Sussex County Council as the lone social worker in the Team.
  • You will be provided the opportunity to undertake strengths-based assessments in complex situations applying relevant legislation utilising advanced social work skills.
