Senior Social Worker - Intervention Team
We are looking to recruit a Senior Social Worker in the Child Protection / Intervention Team within London Borough of Newham. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels.

The responsibilities of the Senior Social Worker includes:
- Ability to support Social Workers to undertake complex social work assessments
- Experience of formulating support, protection and care plans
- Ability to negotiate with colleagues and partner agencies to resolve differences of opinion
- Ability to build effective, long lasting relationships with a range of service providers both from statutory and voluntary agencies
- Attending court and giving evidence when required
- Initiating and implementing child protection plans
- Managing packages of care
- Undertaking parenting and risk assessments
- Chairing children in need meetings.
To ideal candidate will have:
- Social Work England registration
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Social Work qualified (MA/BSc/DPSW/CQSW/MSc/BA)
