SPR are proud to be working with a public sector client to recruit for a Senior Social Worker within Duty and Assessment.

Working Instructions: 
Pay Rate: £30.57 per hour 
Location: Worcester 
Hours: 9am – 5:30pm, 37 hours per week, Hybrid Working.

Essential Requirements: 
  • Enhanced DBS – Children 
  • Social Work England registered 
  • Driver's license with access to own vehicle 
  • 2 years' experience  

Role and Responsibilities of the Senior Social Worker:
  • To manage a caseload and associated administrative tasks in an efficient and effective manner and work towards managing a complex case load. 
  • Collaborate within a MASH Pod to make prompt and informed decisions concerning child safety 
  • To act appropriately upon receiving referrals allocated by the team manager / senior social work practitioner 
  • To ensure that appropriate information is available for service users and carers 
  • Work closely with MASH partners to ensure the child's perspective is acknowledged 
  • To carry out assessments as appropriate,30 including carer assessments, within timescales and to contribute to or coordinate the construction of outcome focused care plans which are informed by best practice, guidance and an understanding of the organisational context. 
  • To provide written and verbal reports as required and to assist in assessing and monitoring the implementation of plans and outcomes for service users. 
  • To assist in ensuring that there is a good understanding of practice and procedures regarding child protection in the Team.
