Senior Server Engineer

Manchester - 2 days a week

£550 - £700 P/D - Outside IR35

6 month contract

Our client are an enterprise organisation based in Manchester, they are seeking a highly skilled Senior Server Engineer to join their team on a contract basis.

Responsibilities:

- Support existing systems, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability.

- Respond promptly to incidents and troubleshoot issues effectively.

- Monitor services and systems to ensure uptime and performance targets are met.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain server infrastructure solutions.

Requirements:

- Extensive experience with RedHat Linux and all versions of Windows Server.

- Proficiency in managing Dell and Lenovo server hardware.

- Strong knowledge of SAN (Storage Area Network) technologies.

- Expertise in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

- Familiarity with a range of related technologies and tools.

Additional Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

- Knowledge and experience with public cloud solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Familiarity with backup solutions and disaster recovery processes.

- Understanding of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) methods and best practices.

- Experience with Citrix server virtualization technologies.

Preferred Certifications:

- Relevant certifications in Microsoft (e.g., MCSE) and RedHat (e.g., RHCE) are preferred and advantageous for this role.
