Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Senior Scheduling Coordinator on behalf of one of our fantastic clients based in Bedfordshire.

The Senior Scheduling Coordinator for Service and Maintenance is responsible for assisting the Scheduling Team Leader in coordinating and managing the scheduling of service and maintenance activities within the business. This role requires strong organisational and communication skills to ensure efficient allocation of resources and timely completion of tasks. The Senior Scheduling Coordinator will work closely with the Scheduling Team Leader, the delivery team, and the engineering team to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Scheduling Team Leader in developing and implementing a comprehensive scheduling system for service and maintenance activities, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources and timely completion of tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Scheduling Team Leader to assign tasks to the Scheduling Administrator and engineering department. Prioritising work based on urgency and customer requirements.
  • Monitor and track the progress of service and maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and resolving any issues or delays that may arise.
  • Coordinate with the delivery team to ensure the availability of necessary parts and equipment for service and maintenance tasks.
  • Liaising with customers to schedule service and maintenance appointments, ensuring minimal disruption to their operations.
  • Support the delivery and engineering team.
  • Collaborate with the Scheduling Team Leader to conduct regular performance evaluations of the Administrator, providing feedback and addressing any performance issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of service and maintenance activities, including work orders, service reports, and customer feedback.
  • Assist in coordinating with other departments, such as sales and engineering, to ensure effective communication and coordination of service and maintenance activities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and service and maintenance techniques advancements, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • A-level or technical certifications or qualifications are desirable, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven experience in a scheduling or coordination role, preferably in the service and maintenance of heavy machinery or equipment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficient in using scheduling software and other relevant tools to manage service and maintenance activities.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, focusing on providing effective solutions.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
