We are working with a pioneering health-tech to help them find a Senior Ruby Developer to join their team in central Bristol. This fast-growing business have developed products to help thousands of people particularly those with disabilities and/or from a neurodiverse background. They’re looking for people who share in their vision and are passionate about using technology as a force for good.  They’re looking for someone to join their 10 strong, quality driven team committed to making a difference with the products they make.

They’re looking for someone to work in their office twice a week for this role (Central Bristol).

What skills you’ll need to apply
  • Ruby / Ruby on Rails.
Any of the following would be great:
  • TypeScript.
  • Node.js.
  • Cypress (E2E testing).
  • CSS.
  • Docker.
  • Postgres.
  • Redis.
  • Able to work in collaboration with others, taking ownership of solutions and ensuring high quality of the codebase and its continual improvement.
What you’ll be doing

Core responsibilities will cover delivering technical solutions and project deliverables to a high level.  You’ll focus on the backend and web views of the application, which is responsible for a lot of the business logic, user administration and subscription/licensing processes.  They’re looking for people at the Senior level of the scale where you can take ownership of how the work is completed, inputting on their Engineering practices and bringing other developers along on the journey.  The long term health of the codebase is really important to them and the need for it to be intuitive for other developers whilst being efficient, reusable and reliable.  The role will suit an inquisitive problem solver who is familiar working with mature engineering practices and processes.
