Senior R&D Research Scientist

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Senior R&D Research Scientist at a chemical manufacturing company based in Oxfordshire. As the Senior R&D Research Scientist you will be responsible for supporting new R&D projects of various polymeric materials. You will also be responsible for conducting synthesis on materials and formulating new products.

To be considered for this Senior R&D Research Scientist position you will be degree educated in Chemistry or a relevant field. You will also have several years industrial experience in the chemistry or materials sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lab based and research studies to support the R&D within the business.
• Management of your own projects.
• New product R&D.
• Conduct synthesis and formulations on materials.
• Utilise analytical techniques.

Experience/Background:

• Degree or equivalent in Chemistry or relevant field.
• Several years' industrial experience in the materials/chemistry sectors.
• Prior experience formulating and synthesising materials.
• Practical experience in material science is preferred.
