Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor - Civils Contractor

Location: Wolverhampton

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our clients team. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of the projects, ensuring that they are delivered within budget and to the highest standards of quality. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the transformation of the urban landscape in the West Midlands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all commercial aspects of assigned projects, including cost control, budget management, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Conduct thorough cost analysis and risk assessments to ensure accurate project costing.
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities and pricing schedules.
  • Monitor and evaluate subcontractor and supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual terms.
  • Provide regular financial reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Support the project team in resolving commercial and contractual issues as they arise.
  • Mentor and support junior members of the quantity surveying team.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in quantity surveying within the civil engineering or construction industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing commercial aspects of large-scale civil engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management techniques.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as MS Excel, MS Project, and quantity surveying software.
