Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for your next position?


We are working with a successful residential Developer looking to hire a Senior QS to run the commercial element of a brand new RC Frame development in Bath.


With hundreds of units across multiple block the scheme will run until 2030 and you must have experience in the early days of a similar project being heavily involved in pre construction and procurement.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with project managers, the technical team, and contractors to ensure cost-effective planning and execution of residential developments.
  • Utilise your expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial management to drive project success.
  • Producing all pre-construction tender documents and conducting all procurement responsibilities such as tender meetings and analysis for selection of contractors.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of project specifications, materials, and labour costs to provide accurate forecasts and reports.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and maintain strong relationships.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying potential cost overruns and implementing proactive solutions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a residential contractor.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools, including Excel, cost estimating software, and project management systems.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • A results-driven mindset with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
