Senior Quantity Surveyor required to join a leading, award winning, Demolition, Decommissioning and Waste Management Company who are looking to expand their team due to an ever increasing workload and continued success. Based in the central belt near Whitburn, our client provides a range demolition, waste management, Facade Retention & Major shoring, Decontamination & Land Remediation and Earthworks services to a variety of main contractors, consultancies, property developers and public sector organisations.

Senior Quantity Surveyor Position Remuneration

  • Salary circa £65k
  • Paid Holidays

Senior Quantity Surveyor Position Overview

  • Managing multiple projects across the UK
  • Support operational delivery of projects in conjunction with site team management, ensuring quality, cost, budget, and client delivery timescales are met
  • Estimating on small projects
  • Monthly project valuations
  • Managing and agreeing variation accounts
  • S/C quotes, procurement & placement of orders
  • Detailed take offs
  • Producing detailed activity schedules for tenders
  • Pricing activity schedules/BoQ's from basic principles
  • Managing the efficient operation of the contracts
  • Planning and preparing method statements, risk assessments, programmes and resource requirements.
  • Monitoring possible variations and similar matters and ensuring that site records are produced.
  • Maintain good relationships with clients, consultants and colleagues

Senior Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements

  • Previous demolition experience operating within a similar role.
  • Demonstrable commercial experience able to manage expectations with contracts up to £15 million in value
  • Professional Qualifications (CCDO Manager, CSCS Manager's black card)
  • Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of SHEQ regulations.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
