Senior Project Manager, Senior Portfolio Manager required to work for a Professional Services company based in Central London. However, this is practically fully remote. You may travel to the States or Europe from time to time, but all expenses will be paid. Please read in full before applying…

We ideally need someone from a Professional Services background - Big 4 preferably, (or even someone from Banking / Financial Services, for instance) who has extensive Programme Management and Stakeholder Management experience. The Stakeholders must NOT just be in IT (for instance). We need a Programme Manager / Senior Project Manager who has worked on significant, business critical Programmes where your stakeholders are the likes of the COO, the CFO or even Partners of the CEO themselves!

This individual MUST also have delivered Programmes / Projects related to key business areas in the past, with proven battle scars with significant Partner Level or C-Level Stakeholders. Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Programme / Project management experience across several different technologies, demonstrating detailed knowledge of processes and people management.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading digital, operational and strategic change to drive continuous improvement.
  • Significant Programme / Project Management skills linked to Portal / Platform Technologies
  • Demonstrated significant experience in project management and related project processes, project methodologies (PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile, Lead/Six Sigma), project governance and stakeholder management.
  • Tertiary qualifications desirable (e.g., university IT degree, university business degree).
  • Technical qualifications in a Project Management discipline (e.g., PMBOK, PMI CAPM/PMP or PRINCE2, Agile) desirable
  • Fundamental knowledge of the ITIL framework and/or service management approaches. ITIL certification preferred.

Experience & Skills

  • Effectively demonstrates leadership, teamwork, problem solving, initiative and integrity.
  • Proven ability to effectively engage with business stakeholders to clarify their business requirements and manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Experience working with multiple third-party vendors and partners to deliver complex information technology projects and manage project inter-dependencies
  • Understanding of systems, development methodologies and tools as well as architecture.
  • Experience transitioning technology solutions into operational environments.
  • Demonstrate the ability to balance priorities among competing needs whilst providing the highest level of value to the company.
  • Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
  • Financial literacy to forecast and manage project budgets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence and drive other team members, and to engage effectively with senior stakeholders
