My client is a leading ERP player within the UK NHS and local government arena, who provide robust ERP solutions to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. They have a dedicated technical and development team in place and are thoroughly committed to delivering cutting edge solutions to cater to the unique needs of their customers.

They are thus seeking an experienced and strategic senior product manager to join their dynamic and growing team. This role is more than pivotal in shaping the future of their ERP products. You will play a crucial role in driving the strategy to thoroughly enhance their commercial successes, refining product management processes, as well as improving coordination and communication of product planning.

Key responsibilities

  • Market understanding - Developing a deep and thorough understanding of the market, staying aware of industry trends, competitors, regulations and customer needs.
  • Product strategy and planning - Leading the development and execution of the product strategy, aligning it with organizational goals and marketing demands, as well as defining product roadmaps whilst considering market dynamics, emerging technologies, the competitive landscape and customer feedback, and identifying revenue opportunities with a white and green space approach.
  • Commercial focus - Collaborating with the sales and marketing teams to drive commercial success, identifying new business opportunities, as well as maximizing revenue streams, ensuring pricing strategies can be implemented which align with market demands and delivering optimal value to customers.
  • Product management focus - Establishing and enhancing product management processes, ensuring a thoroughly systematic approach, from ideation to launch and post-launch evaluation by implementing best practices and integrating and providing thought leadership to the existing product owner team.
  • Cross functional collaboration - Fostering collaboration with the product owners, technical and development teams, to ensure a seamless flow of communication and understanding between technical and commercial aspects of product development.
  • Stakeholder engagement - Engaging with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to gather insights, feedback and requirements, whilst also building and maintaining strong relationships with the User Group, SIG and broader customer base, understanding their needs and translating them into themes and product features that can be actioned.
  • Team leadership - Leading, mentoring, and developing a high performing product management team, through creating a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the product management function.

Requirements

  • Proven experience within a senior product management role, ideally within the ERP domain.
  • Have in-depth knowledge and experience within the NHS and local government sector.
  • Have a strong commercial background/understanding with a proven track record to drive revenue growth.
  • Experience in building and leading high performing product management teams.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have the ability to evaluate and introduce ROI models for filtering development candidates
  • Creating relationships with the user group, as well as wider customers as a whole
