Senior Procurement Consultant (Defence)

A thrilling opportunity for Procurement Managers to join a global professional services consulting company in Bristol with a salary up to £65,000. As Procurement Manager, you will take charge of delivering ground-breaking programmes in the defence and infrastructure sectors across the South West, managing and overseeing the procurement and commercial aspects of multiple projects.

This is an exciting opportunity perfectly suited for candidates who possess extensive expertise in procurement and commercial management within large-scale programmes at Procurement Manager level or equivalent, and who are keen to progress in their career.

Responsibilities of the Procurement Managers:

• Develop and implement effective procurement strategies that align with project goals and objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement operations and deliver increased value to clients.
• Oversee the administration and management of contracts, including monitoring supplier performance, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with project objectives.

Person Specification of the Procurement Managers:

• Currently hold valid SC clearance OR be eligible to go through SC process.
• Demonstrated experience in procurement within the public sector or defence, preferably in major programmes.
• Capable of effectively working in a team-oriented setting, fostering collaboration and contributing to overall project success.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex procurement concepts and negotiate with stakeholders.

Salary:

Roles ranging from £65,000 to £85,000 + £4,000 car allowance.

These roles will be ideal for you if you have previous experience within procurement and commercial management as a Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager, Category Manager, Commodity Manager, Contract Manager, Commercial Manager, or similar.
