Job Description

We currently looking for a Senior Pricing Analyst to join our Retail Annuity Pricing Team here at L&G.

As a Senior Pricing Analyst you will carry out a range of technical actuarial pricing tasks that will support and further develop our pricing strategy. This will include regular re-pricing activity, assisting with the development of the tools and systems used by the team and producing regular MI to ensure that risk and financial metrics are being accurately monitored.

You will also get the opportunity to take the lead on pricing projects and provide crucial actuarial support to the operational new business quotation teams where needed. As well as having the opportunity to manage, coach and develop more junior members of the Retail Annuity Pricing Team in this varied and exciting role.

This role would be ideal for a Part Qualified Actuary who has made good progress through the IFoA Exams and also has a couple of years of Industry Experience to draw upon.

This is a hybrid working opportunity based from our Coleman Street Offices in London, which will allow you to work from both your home and the office to find a work/life balance that suits you.

Qualifications
  • An actuarial student who is making good progress through the IFoA Exams.
  • Preferably 3 years+ of relevant Actuarial work experience (ideally in a Life/Pensions capacity).
  • Experience/knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with basic VBA knowledge highly preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of pricing metrics and principles.
  • A commercial outlook, with pre-existing knowledge or the thirst to acquire knowledge of the individual annuity market.
  • Initiative in applying problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Good personal planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and explain complex details to stakeholders within and outside the team.
  • Ability to question results for reasonableness and refer to more experienced staff where appropriate.
  • Strong leadership skills would be an advantage, however, are not a pre-requisite for the role.
