 Are you a passionate senior practitioner looking for a new role where you can make a significant impact in the lives of individuals? We have an exciting opportunity for a Family Support & Protection Social Worker to join our dedicated team in Harlow, Essex.

About Family Support & Protection:

This team is dedicated to supporting families facing complex, long-term issues. We collaborate with families needing extended interventions, particularly when children are under child protection plans or require alternative care arrangements. Our approach involves building strong relationships and employing systemic and strengths-based methods to guide families towards positive change while managing risks.

As a Senior Practitioner, you will:

  • Manage a caseload of complex cases and provide expert guidance and supervision to your colleagues.
  • Lead the team and oversee duty services when the Team Manager is away, ensuring our mission is carried out effectively.
  • Handle higher levels of risk, mentor and advise your fellow team members, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvements.
  • Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders and collaborate with them to achieve positive outcomes.

Requirements for the role:

  • Diploma or degree in social work, CQSW, CSS or equivalent.
  • Registered with SWE.
  • Capability of practice in accordance with current professional standards.
  • Framework (PCF), Knowledge & Skills Statement (KSS).
  • Demonstrate an ability in the application of social work knowledge, using emotional intelligence, analytical skills and act with confidence in challenging social and family situations.
  • A good working knowledge and ability to use IT and systems e.g. work.
  • Driving Licence and vehicle
