Salary: £18.99 per hour
Location: Milton Keynes
Type of Contract: Fixed Term Contract up to 12 months
Hours: 37 hours

The role…

As the Senior Payroll Officer, your role will involve the following important duties:

• Train and develop the payroll team.
• Responsible for day-to-day administration and operation of the Payroll system.
• Maintain rate tables to reflect pay awards, NMW, pensions and more.
• Respond to complex queries.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HMRC, DWP legislation and all NJC, DCLG guidance.
• Act as the first point of contact.

The experience required…

As a successful Senior Payroll Officer, you will have the following:

• CIPP / AAT qualification or equivalent payroll or taxation qualification.
• Significant payroll experience at a supervisory level.
• Significant experience dealing with final salary and career average pension schemes and auto-enrolment.
• Experience with Payroll/HR systems.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and report on data.
• Working knowledge of statutory payments and deductions and relevant HMRC-related legislation.
