Our client is a leading manufacturer of plastic parts to prestigious OEMs is looking to recruit a Senior Mouldshop Setter to work in their mouldshop based in Fareham.

Working closely with the mouldshop management team, you will provide technical leadership for the mouldshop setting teams to deliver a step change improvement in levels of yield, quality, efficiency and productivity necessary to meet customers' expectations and support the Company's strategic objectives.

Hours will be: 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pmn alternating on a weekly basis

As Senior Mouldshop Setter, your duties will include:

  • Implementing best practise to achieve scrap reduction, improved labour efficiency, machine optimisation, reduced costs and improved quality
  • Working with the Production Planner and Team Leaders to ensure that the day-to-day production tool changes are set to fulfil production programs ensuring all setting parameters are within the limits defined on the master set
  • Ensuring all master setting data sheets for each part is up to date and optimised to ensure best possible part quality
  • Carrying out troubleshooting on any moulding, quality or processing concerns
  • Liaising with the Toolroom and Maintenance departments in the correct manner to resolve concerns with tooling and machine related issues

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Be an experienced plastic Injection Moulding Setter or Technician
  • Have experience of troubleshooting and resolving process issues
  • Have a strong track record of improving processes, reducing scrap and generating cost savings
  • Have knowledge of a range of materials
