Senior Mechanical Engineer

Are you an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer based in Manchester or the surrounding area? Are you looking for a brand new opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects?

Due to the continued growth an exciting role has arisen for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our client's award-winning consultancy in Manchester.

We are looking for a Senior who will apply their technical knowledge and managerial skills to deliver innovative and economic projects. You will act as a mentor to junior team members and ensure compliance across the team's work.

As a consultancy, they have 9 UK offices and around 120 employees. They have nearly 30 years of experience across the engineering, construction and asset management landscape. Their team offers multi-disciplinary solutions within several key disciplines including commercial & risk management, architecture, digital capture and of course MEP Building Services design.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Building Services or a relevant field
  • Be Chartered or working towards Chartership
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and similar design systems
  • Experience working for a building services consultancy


Roles and responsibilities include…

  • Assisting the Associate Director with client liaison and ensuring client requirements are met
  • Acting as the primary client contact for daily project delivery
  • Identifying opportunities to expand the firm's services on projects
  • Participating in proposal/bid preparation, including estimating costs and timelines
  • Implementing actions from Key Account Plans
  • Producing deliverables within set budgets
  • Supporting the Associate Director in managing workloads
  • Undertaking significant technical design work, calculations, modelling, etc.
  • Thoroughly checking technical work for compliance with standards
  • Ensuring adherence to company procedures and quality standards
  • Participating in quality audits and promoting best practices
