Senior Mechanical Engineer

Konker Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a Building Services Consultancy based in Aztec West who are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer. This would ideally be someone local with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in Building Services Design.

This company provide design solutions, surveys & reports, and site duties to a range of clients. They are a team of 7 talented Mechanical and Electrical Engineers who can also offer sustainability services like Dynamic Simulation Modelling, SBEM Compliance, ESG reporting, Energy Performance Certificates, and Sustainability Option Studies.

The company was founded in 2020 and despite facing the challenge of the Covid lockdown, they still managed to double in size and are now very busy in the following areas: Commercial, Retail, Education, Healthcare, Industrial, and Residential. They have worked on big shopping centres like Cabot Circus and St Davids, and projects up to £12 million.

They are a friendly bunch who often go on company socials. There’s no real hierarchy within the team, everyone is valued no matter what level they are at. They are keen on helping their staff improve, offering them different training courses and progression opportunities to help you level up your career and become a Principal/Associate level Engineer.

They offer hybrid working and will give you everything you need in order to be able to work from home. You’ll be expected in the office at least 2 days per week. They also offer a yearly company bonus based on performance and a fantastic pension scheme that goes above and beyond statutory contribution.

What are they looking for?
  • Proven experience in Building Services Design.
  • Degree qualified in Building Services/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Driving licence and car in order to attend meetings (transport costs covered by the business).
  • Familiar with Bristol, South Wales and the Southwest.
  • AutoCAD experience is essential.
  • Revit and IES experience is beneficial.
