The Role
This is an excellent Senior Mechanical CAD Technician role, working for a company with a great reputation in their field. The Senior Mechanical CAD Technician will be proficient in 3D and 2D CAD applications and have knowledge of national and international design codes and standards, to provide drawings for mechanical and structural parts and support projects.

The Senior Mechanical CAD Technician will join a company which provides global design, engineering and consultancy support, primarily in the natural gas and petrochemical markets. The Senior Mechanical CAD Technician will contribute to a supportive team environment, which rewards hard work and innovative thinking. The current work pattern in place is fully onsite in Eastleigh, with flexible hours.

What’s Required?

The ideal candidate for the role will have some of the following:

• Strong commercial experience as a Mechanical CAD Technician 

• Proficient in 3D CAD modelling and 2D CAD to produce mechanical/structural engineering drawings

• Experience with Tekla software is essential, with MicroStation, AutoCAD and SolidWorks being beneficial

• Knowledge of national and international design codes 

• Any experience in storage tank design would also set you ahead!
