Senior Marketing Project Manager

Contract: 12 months, London - Canary Wharf (3 days onsite)

Advantage are recruiting on behalf of a rapidly expanding UK Retail Banking client for a Senior Marketing Project Manager who can offer experience delivering marketing programmes (e.g. campaign management, creative development). This is a fantastic opportunity to join a globally renowned business in their Digital Retail Banking arm who have ambitious growth plans.

Prior experience in a regulated industry e.g. Banking, Insurance, Pharma is required, alongside knowledge of how marketing campaigns are delivered and the related marketing processes (internal sign off, governance etc)

You'll be delivering multiple marketing projects that span digital marketing and product space, e.g. brand, sponsorship, new products/features/change, and geographical market expansion initiatives, and this will be done in a Lean/Agile environment so prior experience with Agile and project management practises using tools like Jira/Confluence is sought.

Their Delivery Team is at the heart of building this new venture, focused on enabling the speed of delivery to market of new products and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and optimizing the marketing operational and product feature roadmap to ensure customer value is delivered in line with the overall business and program objectives and timelines
  • Hosting regular sprint synchronization meetings between the squads to manage and track the inter-squad and tribe actions and dependencies
  • Resolving blockers to feature execution by facilitating resource prioritization or identifying mitigation options
  • Facilitating change management and associated impacts on plans and release to production
  • Enabling decision making by engaging appropriate stakeholders
  • Managing, tracking and escalating risks and issues to the plan
  • Drive continuous improvement through the review of delivery metrics and reports with the marketing chapter leads to facilitate optimization of performance and planning
  • Report on sprint delivery and accomplishments with the Product Owner and Product Managers
  • Accountable for initiative level planning and alignment, data based forecasting, reporting, and identifying and resolving program level risks, dependencies, impediments and blockers.
  • Influence Squads to adopt Agile practices and improve ways of working with pragmatism
  • Work with Vendor Delivery Managers and Product Managers to ensure key vendor dependencies are in plan and tracked

Your Skills/Experience

  • Experience in marketing program management ideally delivering digital banking products to customers e.g. campaign management, creative development etc
  • Delivered a range of digital products to customers using Lean/Agile methodologies, including with Kanban
  • Supported multidisciplinary teams that have included marketing, designers, testers, developers and product managers
  • Ability to switch between diving into details and creating the big picture
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task within tight deadlines
  • Managed and worked within budgets and time-pressured environments
  • Used delivery data to forecast key deliverables and communicate a project's status clearly with senior clients and stakeholders
  • Proactively spotted risks to delivery and helped teams mitigate them
  • Great facilitation, diplomacy and negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with experience in managing senior stakeholders
  • Proficient user in Atlassian and Microsoft suite of applications - Jira, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint, Project
