Position: Senior Marketing Officer/Director

Coverage: CEE/Poland

Location: London/Prague

About the role:

The position is part of the ISD/CEEMEA CBD team, situated in either Prague or London, with reporting responsibilities to the Executive Director (ED). Primarily, the role entails active involvement in marketing initiatives, spearheading the processing of live transactions, overseeing the current client portfolio, and contributing to the onboarding of new clients.

Additionally, the position involves providing assistance to the Line Manager and senior management on strategic and managerial duties. The Director role encompasses serving diverse emerging market corporate customers such as industry players, listed and unlisted companies, private equity firms, banks, and financial institutions. Moreover, the Director may be expected to cultivate their own network of clients, advisors, and industry contacts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Director's involvement in marketing and identifying potential corporate transactions.
  • Supervision of credit application preparation internally and providing training and guidance to junior staff in this role.
  • Contribution to financial and corporate analysis as a co-leader of deals teams.
  • Understanding and application of the Bank's internal procedures, processes, regulations, and compliance matters, ensuring adherence and supporting junior staff in compliance.
  • Interaction with customers for the origination of regulated products through telephone and face-to-face meetings.
  • Preparation of externally facing marketing materials under the supervision of the Line Manager, adhering to guidelines and seeking compliance approval.
  • Taking ownership of a specific customer group (market, product region).
  • Increased exposure to team management responsibilities for junior staff and contribution to senior management initiatives.

Key Qualification:

  • Extensive expertise in corporate finance theory, practice, risk analysis, credit evaluation, execution, and documentation.
  • Extensive network in CEE and Poland in particular.
  • Proficiency in numerical and financial skills is imperative, alongside experience in financial and corporate analysis.
  • Thorough understanding of corporate finance and private finance customers and clients for marketing purposes, with the capacity to comprehend and address customer needs effectively.
  • Previous engagement in corporate finance within a relevant institution (bank, advisory firm, industry, etc.) is necessary.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently under pressure and within specified timeframes, adapting to significant changes as needed.
  • Proficiency in collaborating effectively with colleagues in various roles and at different levels of seniority across EMEA and other regions.
  • Fluency in English and Polish languages is essential.
  • Educational background: Minimum undergraduate degree required, with proficiency in multiple languages considered advantageous.
