Butler Rose, public practice is delighted to be supporting our client, a fantastic Central London firm of accountants with an enviable track record of success and growth that very few can match!

The firm is now able to offer to market an outstanding opportunity for a well experienced and qualified Senior Manager covering Accounts, Tax & Audit, reporting directly to the partners, to join them on a permanent basis
.
Role Requirements -
The role will be extremely varied offering complete support to a diverse portfolio of OMB and HNWI clients to include matters of taxation, accounts and ad-hoc project work with your main duties as follows:
Assume day to day responsibility for the management of specific clients, build strong and successful client relationships provide expert, timely and comprehensive advice both face to face, via phone and email.
Work successfully with other Managers and Partners across the firm to ensure that all client's statutory deadlines and requirements are met.
Meet and update the Partners on a regular basis - highlighting areas of success or concern as appropriate.
Oversee the scheduling and workflows on each of the jobs - ensuring all deadlines and targets are met.
Responsible for monthly billing, managing WIP, billing targets and recoverability.
Assist the Partners with managing and delivering the long-term strategy for the client and the resulting project work that arises.
* Managing audit assignments from planning through to finalisation of reports in line with agreed timescales.
* Controlling time spent and monitoring actual time within budget.
* People management - coaching, feedback, performance management, training and development, engaging high performing teams.
* Maintains control and stability under pressure whilst recognising the deadline or urgency.
* Ensure standards and procedures maintained by whole team.
* Drafts the audit opinion summary for the Partner and any other reporting documents, including group reporting and audit committee papers.

Person Requirements -
You should be CTA qualified (ACCA/ICAEW is desirable but not essential) with at least 5+ years' experience gained in a similar role.
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - with the ability to provide a professional yet personal service and communicating technical information to clients in a simple, clear and effective manner.
Ability to be able to demonstrate strong technical and commercial awareness.
Excellent work ethic and desire to provide a superior client service.
Desire to appreciate the bigger picture of the client's affairs, including the ability to show initiative and find solutions to problems.
Self-starter with the ability to work outside of defined parameters.
Experience in reviewing the work of others - providing feedback and support where necessary.
Experience of working to budgets and managing projects accordingly.
