SENIOR MANAGER, GROWTH AND IMPROVEMENT / HYBRID 2-3 DAYS PER WEEK IN OFFICE / LONDON BRIDGE / UP TO £90K PLUS BENEFITS

As part of the International Travel and Corporate Payments team, this role will work closely with the Head of Insights & Growth, as well as with other teams, especially Commercial, Finance and Marketing.

The managers primary objective is to support and drive customer and market facing activities that directly contribute to the growth of revenue and profit for WEX International. This includes growth from existing and new customers across EMEA and APAC regions, potentially expanding to Americas for specific targeted engagements.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Manager:

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of competitor landscape across target segments and WEX’s 'right-to-win’ in target verticals
  • Utilize knowledge of markets by region and WEX’s product and service offerings and play a central role in refining and implementing the division's growth strategy.
  • Develop strong understanding of existing customers and the pool of existing and potential prospects within travel and other target verticals.
  • Contribute to definition of capabilities required to capture growth opportunities and help evaluate options for sourcing and delivery. Work with Product, Finance, and other teams in developing requirements for investment through annual capital planning process
  • Work with Commercial, Finance, and Product teams to deliver growth focused initiatives in both the travel vertical and other segments. Foster collaboration across teams and geographies and build relationships with external parties.
  • Contribute to the business unit strategy planning process, including by ensuring budgeting and forecasting efforts are closely connected to specific segment and customer circumstances
  • Help the Head of Insights & Growth and broader WEX teams execute on growth focused initiatives, and lead these initiatives where appropriate
  • Assist the Head of Insights & Growth in delivering customer facing payments advisory projects, which seek to optimise whether and how customers use WEX’s products in specific scenarios
  • Support the Head of Insights & Growth and other teams by working across a geographically diverse team and across several time zones (Europe, Asia Pacific and North America)
  • Be proactive to achieve results in a matrix organisation with many points of contact across teams
  • Help deliver 'audience ready’ customer facing and internally facing C-suite suitable materials

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience in the payments, financials services, technology and other related industries; preferably B2B
  • A creative and flexible approach to problem solving, with excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrable financial acumen, including proficiency in Excel, navigating large data sets
  • Functional understanding of core on-scheme card payment concepts, including four-party model, and the roles of the various parties involved
  • Understanding of the travel market, including roles of travel intermediaries and travel suppliers, and the dynamics between the different players in the market
  • Understanding of general B2B payments challenges faced by different parties, especially within a travel payments context
  • Functional understanding of virtual cards and their role in the B2B payments landscape
