Role
Our Financial Services client has a brand new permanent vacancy for a Senior Manager Credit Risk - 2nd Line to join their expanding team & successfully growing business. The role will assist the Chief Risk Officer in developing and maintaining an effective end-to-end Credit Risk Oversight function for the organisation.
This is a hands on role for someone with a thorough understanding of all aspects of credit risk within a secured lending market, ideally with exposure to the commercial mortgage environment.
  
Responsibilities
Develop and continuously improve the credit risk analytics including the choice of internal/external data, analytical tools, production of dashboards/outputs
Ongoing development of the organisation's credit risk appetite capabilities (limits, monitoring etc)
Monitoring Loan Book performance against established Risk Appetite KRI's
Development of the Credit Committee reporting/MI Suite
Supporting credit risk reporting to Executive Risk Committee, ExCO, Board Risk Committee
Providing support to Finance on the credit risk aspects of the Financial Statements and Regulatory reporting
Managing and building internal relationships with key functions within the business
Supporting stress testing and other analysis with the ICAAP, ILAAP, Recovery Plan
Contribute to team training and proactively look to share key learnings and experiences among colleagues
  
Skills Required
Knowledge and experience of the specialist bridging market, development finance, commercial mortgages and buy-to-let mortgages
Analytical thinker with deep understanding of credit profiles
Ability to think critically, be pragmatic, have confidence to challenge, problem solve & find new ways of doing things, including influencing senior leadership
A track record of building and managing stakeholder relationships
Experience of coaching and developing colleagues in complex credit matters
Experience of working in a regulated organisation with a clear understanding of regulatory requirements including Consumer Duty
Experience of developing/assessing credit models
