Reed Finance are currently supporting a fantastic organisation, located in Edinburgh to recruit for a new Senior Management Accountant postion. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts for the group, including all holding and dormant entities. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in finance and the ability to manage complex reporting tasks.

Key Duties

  • Preparing the management accounts with all necessary adjustments such as accruals, prepayments, deferred income, and CAPEX
  • Responsible for reviewing of management accounts to ensure clarity on any unusual balances and prepare full variance analysis
  • Maintaining the general ledger and reconciliation process, ensuring all major balance sheet accounts are substantiated monthly
  • Taking ownership the bank reconciliation process and prepare and submit group VAT returns.
  • Supporting the year-end audit process, including information gathering and responding to queries
  • Managing payroll submissions and preparing year-end P11D & PSA data for submission returns
  • Ensuring the company ERP reconciles monthly with the board pack and manage any late adjustments
  • Reviewing and improving month-end processes for greater efficiency

Candidate

  • Qualified Accountant, preferred but not essential
  • Strong Ms Excel Skills
  • Highly Analytical
  • Excellent attention to detail & communication skills
