Senior Management Accountant

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Management Accountant to join a growing business with a genuine opportunity for career development, in an office based role based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire.

The client are looking for a full time, qualified or finalist ACCA or CIMA studier, reporting to the CFO, with a proven track record and experience working as a Management Accountant in a SME business.  The company are part of a private equity backed group of businesses who are experiencing rapid growth.

Typical duties include:

• Post daily cash postings/bank reconciliation 
• Maintain and update rolling 13 week cashflow forecast
• Produce monthly management accounts
• Routine journal postings (accruals, prepayments, depreciation etc...)
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly  basis
• Reconcile Group intercompany accounts
• Support with budgetting and forecasting, preparation of quarterly VAT returns
• Support with year end processes
• Adhoc duties to support the team and the wider group team

Applications are welcomed from individuals with the following skills and experience:

• Qualified Accountant, or Finalist ACCA/CIMA 
• Previous experience of a similar role is essential
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Supervisory or Management experience would be advantageous (as part of future development)
• Excellent organisation and IT skills are essential
• Must be resident in a commutable area and be eligible to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship
