Our client a London based university is currently recruiting for a Senior Management Accountant to join their Management Accounts team. The successful candidate with be supporting the Head of Management Accounts and supervising a number of Finance Business Partners.

Prior Higher Education experience would be ideal, however it is not essential.

Key duties:

  • Supporting the Head of Management Accounts with the development and implementation of the university's strategic financial planning, including budgets
  • Taking the lead in developing and implementing costing and pricing models
  • Working with the Financial Business Partners to ensure all the financial information is accurately compiled
  • Leading on tri-annual forecasts and contribution reporting
  • Providing comprehensive monthly management information for senior management
  • Leading on the financial review of accounts of academic partners
  • Managing the annual submission of the University's Transparent Approach to Costing (TRAC) return and producing and presenting papers to the TRAC operating group meetings

Essential requirements:

  • Fully qualified (CCAB, ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Forecasting and budget setting for an organization
  • Prior experience of providing strategic financial advice and solutions to Stakeholders
  • Experience of working in a business partner role
  • Have managed and developed staff
  • Excellent Excel skills alongside reporting and presentation skills

Desirable

  • Higher Education experience including an understanding of TRAC
  • Oracle Financials
