Role: Senior Legal Counsel
Salary: £80,000 - £85,000

The Advocate Group have exclusively partnered with a world leading Energy Management business, boasting a global turnover of €35b! Due to internal progression, the business are looking to add a Senior Legal Counsel to the Global Legal Team and be responsible for providing commercial legal and compliance support to our UK and Ireland operations.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivery of legal, regulatory and compliance services. You will operate as a key business partner to provide strategic support and advice, working on a wide range of commercial and compliance matters.

What will you do?
- Preparing, reviewing and supporting negotiations of a number of contracts including industry standard construction type contracts and distribution and channel terms and conditions
- Providing distribution and channel antitrust and competition regulatory advice
- Preparing templates
- Proactively identify, define, and mitigate risks by contributing to and implementing policies and procedures
- Managing claims and litigation
- Helping to ensure compliance with applicable laws and Group policies
- Providing training and facilitating our legal compliance programs
- Other local legal support as reasonably required by Legal Management
What will help you to be successful?
- A fully qualified lawyer authorized to practice in the UK or Ireland with a Master/Bachelor of Laws degree or equivalent and at least 5 years' relevant PQE in commercial law
- Fluent in English (written and verbal) with great technological skills
- Worked in an international company and has a proven track record operating in an inhouse environment
- Work proactively and closely with the business stakeholders, to identify and analyse critical commercail and legal issues
- Apply legal expertise to deliver solutions
- Confident with fantastic interpersonal skills, commercially minded, highly organized and able to work effectively in teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently and manage large volumes of work
