This as a 12 month fixed term contract position for a Senior Legal Counsel to join an international business with offices based in Gloucestershire.

This company based in Gloucestershire service customers across Europe, North America, Africa and Asia.

Description

The Senior Legal Counsel position based in Gloucestershire will involve the following tasks:

  • Providing legal advice to business managers in relation to general commercial contracts
  • Identifying and managing legal risks
  • Drafting, negotiating, amending and reviewing a wide range of legal documents including master services agreements, software licences, support and maintenance agreements, consultancy and confidentiality agreements
  • Assist with managing intellectual property portfolios
  • Advising on data protection issues
  • Representing the business in meetings with existing and potential clients
  • Mitigation of litigation and disputes that arise
  • Assisting with the drafting and implementation of legal policies and procedures
  • Leading on legal projects as required

Profile

The successful candidate for the Senior Legal Counsel position will need to have the following skills and experience:

  • Qualified solicitor
  • Strong experience of managing different aspects of commercial contracts
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Experience of working within financial services or technology would be beneficial
  • Be able to work as part of a small team but also independently

Job Offer

This is a temporary contract for 12 months.

Hybrid working- 3 days in the office.

Flexible start and finish times.

Parking on site.
