About the role

This role is pivotal in ensuring effective corporate governance and secretarial support within The Coventry.

Reporting directly to the Society Secretary during this 12 month maternity cover you will be responsible for advising on a wide range of corporate governance matters and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

There is focus on supporting several Board Committees, and the Coventry Building Society Charitable Foundation. Along with Board members, Executives, and suppliers.

Hybrid Model: At least 1 day a week based in the Coventry Office - flex subject to board meetings 

About you
It is important you have experience working in the Financial Services sector or a regulated industry with a sound grasp of relevant corporate governance and charities law requirements.

You'll demonstrate people skills in order tobuild and maintain successful working relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including Board members, executives, colleagues, and external partners.

You'll have excellentverbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex information, facilitate discussions, and articulate recommendations to various stakeholders.

You will have the ability to work effectively under pressure, managing competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining diligence and delivering high-quality work.

You will be legally qualified ( or CGI/ICSA qualification with a strong interest in corporate governance and secretariat.
