Senior Lawyer/ Team Leader - Clinical Negligence
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £67,000 - £75,000+ D.O.E

Join a leading law firm in Nottingham as a Senior Clinical Negligence Lawyer and take on a key role in supervising, leading, and developing their dedicated team. We are seeking a qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience, including a proven track record in delivering comprehensive supervision of clinical negligence case work.

Key Responsibilities:

- You will manage and supervise a team ensuring that team members receive relevant supervision and support with case progression and strategic input.
- Alongside your supervisory responsibilities, you will be handling your own caseload of high-value clinical negligence cases. Your caseload will be a mixed and varied claimant only caseload, including delay in the diagnosis of cancer/various illnesses, cauda equina, fatalities, still births, orthopaedic, gynaecological, brain injuries including potential CP cases.
- You will raise the profile of the team; help bring in new clients and contribute to business development initiatives.

Experience:

- You will be a leader who has experience in managing successful clinical negligence teams.
- Strong supervisory abilities, along with excellent client care and interpersonal skills, are essential. A passion for training and sharing experience, including successful mentoring and team supervision, is crucial.
- Proven track record in strategically guiding complex clinical negligence cases from pre to post-issue, including progressing cases to Trial, ADR, and handling interlocutory applications.
- Demonstrated ability in forecasting, billing, and successful cost recovery, guiding the team through this process effectively.
- Competency and expertise in clinical negligence, preferably accredited by the Law Society, AVMA, or other relevant professional memberships.
