Senior Lawyer (Property)
Haringey
£33 per hour (umbrella)
Full Time Contract ( 3 months)

Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Senior Lawyer specialising in property in Haringey. This is a contract without a scope for extension working full time hours.

The job:

  • Manage a full and varied caseload of legal matters as required, including giving legal advice to colleagues within the organisation
  • To deliver complex specialist advice on legal matters as required with minimum supervision
  • To advise Elected Members where appropriate and attending the Cabinet, Committees and Sub-Committees and providing reports as required
  • To contribute to the development of the Legal Service through identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting
  • To cover the workload of colleagues as required and contribute to the recruitment and training of new members of staff to ensure a seamless service provision to the organisation


The candidate:

  • At least 2-4 years recent post qualification experience of working in legal practice conducting a caseload consisting of all aspects of property
  • Experience in a similar role within the public sector is preferred
  • Must be a qualified solicitor in England and Wales
  • Experience of advocacy in the Magistrates or County Courts or other relevant courts and Tribunals, to include planning appeals at both hearing and public inquiry stage
