Senior IT/Change Internal Auditor

Full Time, Permanent

This role will lead the delivery of end-to-end IT audit engagements. In addition, take a lead role in ongoing assessments of key change initiatives across the business to confirm whether the information provided to governance structures (through the first and second lines of defence), provide a realistic view of the project and the likelihood of it successfully delivering its objectives.

This senior specialist role reports to the IT Audit Manager will require robust technical IT audit skills and building close stakeholder relationships with senior business colleagues.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for providing effective assurance on governance, risk management, financial management and internal controls around IT.
  • Assist in providing ongoing assurance on whether change projects are performing as stated by management.
  • Collaborating with Senior Stakeholders to drive and maintain assurance activities.
  • Regularly speak with IT stakeholders, using in-person meetings
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for IT and change management.
  • Responsible for the production of high-quality assurance reporting.
  • Work within the audit methodology, ISO27001 and quality assurance processes, to ensure that work is performed to a high standard and that recipients can rely on assurance opinions provided.

Qualifications:

  • Formal qualification in CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, ISO 27001.
  • 5+ years PQE
  • An extensive level of understanding of the principles of effective project management.
  • Possess the ability to create open, constructive, and co-operative relationships with management.
  • Have experience of auditing, influencing, and operating within fast changing organisations
  • Proven track record of leading successful delivery or assurance.
